A MAN WAS ASSAULTED outside the Champs Sports Bar on Chapel Road, Ilford, on Sunday, 6th May. The victim, 35, was knocked to the ground by a single punch. It seems that he hit his head as he fell.
The London Ambulance Service took the victim to an East London hospital. It was established that he had suffered a bleed on the brain. He remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The suspect is described as a white man with a tattoo on his right arm, who was wearing a red T-shirt and a dark baseball cap at the time of the incident.
Detective Constable Jim White said, “This is an appalling assault that has left the victim in a critical condition. We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward and speak with police without delay.”
