A PARTY ENDED in disaster on 23rd July, with one man suffering a stab wound and two men suffering gunshot wounds. Police are now appealing to the public for help.
The party took place at a venue on an industrial estate at Bridge Close – and when it ended, a crowd gathered outside the venue. Police attended at 5.30 in the morning and found a 29 year old man who had a stab wound. The London Ambulance Service attended and took him to an East London hospital. He was initially in a critical condition, but he has since become stable and although he remains in hospital his injuries are not life threatening.
Police spoke to people who were gathering outside the party venue and heard reports that someone had been seen with a firearm. Two men were then found who had gunshot injuries. They too were taken to hospital, but were discharged after treatment.
Police made two arrests at the scene: a 22 year old man and a 30 year old man, who were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm. They were taken to an east London police station but have since been released while the investigation continues.
Police are appealing to members of the public to help them with their inquiries. If you have any information, please contact the Trident and Area Crime Command via 101. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
