Suspect drug pusher escapes from A&E

A man who failed to appear in court to answer charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs was arrested – but managed to escape from Homerton Hospital Accident & Emergency Department. He is thought to be at loose somewhere in East London.

Kevin Brooker, 32, was arrested in the early afternoon of 25th July, having failed to appear in court. At first he was taken to an east London police station, but when he arrived he told police officers that he had consumed a quantity of Class A drugs. He was therefore taken by ambulance to Homerton Hospital.

Brooker made his escape from A&E at around 8.30pm.  The hospital CCTV recorded him running out of the hospital with medical staff and police officers running after him. He was last seen running south along Morning Lane, E8.

Brooker is described as a white man of slim build. He has some distinctive tattoos on his neck, including the name “Baylie”, and the names “Terri” and “Honey” are tattooed on his arms. When he disappeared he was wearing a grey T-shirt and blue tracksuit trousers, with black socks and no shoes.  He is known to have links with various addresses in East London, particularly Hackney and Dagenham, and further out into Essex.

Anyone who sees Brooker is asked to dial 999 and ask for police and an ambulance urgently. If you have any other information on his whereabouts you can call the police on 101 or, alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
