HTC Evo 3D coming to a store near you…soon

HTC have announced that their next flagship Android powered device is set to launch across   Europe in July 2011.The device, if youíre not aware of, comes with:
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Adreno 220 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8660 chipset, 1 GB RAM, 4.3inch screen, qHD display, 5 Megapixel Camera (Twin, 2D and 3D capability), 1.3 Megapixel front facing camera, 720p video recording (2D and 3D), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, WiMAX 802.16 e, DLNA, MP3/AAC+/WAV/WMA player, MP4/Xvid/H.263/H.264/WMV player. SRS virtual surround sound. microSD card slot (supporting upto 32GB Memory). 730mAh battery Up to 9 h 20 min (2G) / Up to 7 h 45 min (3G) talktime 6 ounce in weight.

Although this is not the first 3D mobile device out there, it certainly is one of the most impressive handsets. Sharp Aquos SH-12C and the LG Optimus 3D are all very much capable and remarkable devices as well.  But what gives HTC the edge is quite frankly their HTC Sense User Interface.  Itís not known if the device will come with HTC Sense 3.0, or be available at a later date.  Either way with Sense 2.1 this device will certainly be loved by those Android power users.

It may just come with a measly 5 Megapixel camera, but there is enough power and photographical needs that this device can capture good quality photos and video’s with ease.  It may not be quite in line with the likes of Sony Ericsson Arc, or other devices that are offering 8 Mega pixels plus camera. But itís good enough.
The device also has the latest offering of Gorilla glass to protect the large 4.3 inch screen.  And that just perfect to protect your device screen from scratches and breakages.  So you can know say goodbye to screen protectors that make your mobile screen look dull as an autumn day.  Speaking of screen, the fluid motion of this device is just excellent. And given that its run on a very powerful 1.2Ghz chipset, its seriously fast and responsive!

The device is somewhat similar to its brother HTC Sensation, but with the ability of 3D.
So which phone is likely to be in your pocket…say by the end of July?  Or are you holding out for the much rumoured but yet to be confirmed iPhone 5 (or as we know it, the iPhone 4S)? ne 5 (or as we know it, the iPhone 4S)?

iPhone 5

Rumours of iPhone 5 are getting hotter and hotter as the summer weather finally settles in on the western frontier so does the news of Apple’s latest gadget that his till to be publicly announced by the company.  Hence rumour.
You can browse through the global world of information and al you can find is gossips that are no better than Chinese rumours and say so about the product that is suppose to be released.  And according to some sites this was at last month’s WWDC, in August 2011, in September 2011 and some have even delayed this November 2011.
Some reporters have also suggested that device may even have a dual led flash.  Now that would be interesting – so that rumour is correct, just remember to turn off the flash so you donít blind your self when taking self portrait photo’s.
Another conjoining this is the release of iPad 3.  The device is apparently set to be a refreshed iPad 2 with higher resolution.

Nexus Prime?

Just when you thought that Google is drying up its release of handsets after the much abysmal collaboration with Samsung over its Google Nexus S product.  Enter Nexus prime; or at least we think thatís what it’ll be called.
The current codename for the next project is actually called Prime, and since Google last two releases of there product have been based around the Nexus family, it was obvious that the two should be conjoined so it has some form of recognition and platform before its eventual release.
Google’s next device is set to come with the much improved Android Operating System called Ice Cream Sandwich.  Also known as Android 4.0.  Reports are already flowing in that Google is already working with numerous carriers and device manufacturers to make this version of operating system be more fluidly updated with very minimal carrier bloat ware and that the recipient benefits from the new operating system rather than to hurdle complaints and nuances at carriers and suppliers for the obvious delays caused by them.
Sony Ericsson and Samsung device users are well aware of the pain of waiting.
The device is rumoured to have OMAP 4460 processor, 4G LTE radio, 1GB of RAM, 1080p HD video capture and playback, a 1-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel rear camera.  We’ll get more details closer to the time.
The next release of Google handset is actually scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2011.  Just in time for the Christmas release as a gadget to gift to a loved one or treat to yourself for being good through out the year.  Have you been a good person this year enough to reward yourself with this new device?

Dropbox Bug

Dropbox announced yesterday of a bug they had discovered the authentication mechanism.  The company hasnít revealed any statistics as to how many accounts have been affected or even compromised.  But given the recent hacks on popular sites and services this is certainly a worrying matter.
The only information Dropbox have revealed is that less than 1%, of it large 25million accounts, users logged in during the time of the known bug.  Letís hope Lulz Security or their affiliate wasnít one of them pertaining to be a legitimate account holder.
In a company announcement said that the incident was “unacceptable” given the light of security hacks that have been roaming around the internet.  This news may affect the number of users wanting to use their services and may even deter future users to sign up to the popular service.
The cloud based service is haven for users who own multiple pc’s and usually travel across the globe and have the need to exchange large amount of data between pc’s and organisations.  Small businesses that are also looking for cloud based service are also moving into such direction whereby they can easily exchange data between their staff who work remotely.
