Meet your culinary heroes and explore cruise holidays and destinations in one show
Visitors to the annual Telegraph Cruise Show at London’s ExCeL on 9-11th January 2015 can explore the world of cruise holiday options under one roof plus meet celebrity chefs, get personal cooking tips from the experts and be in with the chance of winning one of several holidays worth up to £10,000 each.
Travel enthusiasts, seasoned cruise fans and first-timers alike can enjoy travelling the globe at the show, from finding out more about specific cruise voyages and destinations to exploring the wide range of holiday types on offer including escorted tours, rail and safaris.
Visitors will enjoy a range of insider’s guide talks and interactive Q&A sessions with Telegraph Travel experts at the show’s Destinations Theatre and Cruise Lines Theatre, as well as the chance to get impartial one-to-one cruise advice from CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association). Plus, the show’s Kitchen Theatre sponsored by P&O Cruises will offer a taste of the gourmet food and drink a cruise holiday can offer.
The show will host around 60 exhibitors, offering a broad range of expert advice, fun experiences such as rum tasting on the Cuba Tourist Office stand, and great “show only” booking offers including:
•up to $500 free onboard spending money with Princess Cruises;
•£100 off any Saga Cruise booked at the show;
•up to £325 off per person booking a Fred Olsen Cruise Lines holiday at the show;
•$500 onboard spending money per stateroom booked with Crystal Cruises;
•free bottle of champagne with any Cunard deposit made.
P&O Cruises Food Heroes – including Saturday Kitchen presenter James Martin, award winning master patissier and international baking star Eric Lanlard and twice Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar – will headline the show, hosting a series of free cooking demonstrations, tastings and Q&A “Cookery Clinic” sessions. Visitors will be able to tantalise their taste buds with sample dishes from the chef’s cruise restaurants plus have the chance to get first hand culinary advice. Rounding off the line-up, British TV presenter and wine expert Olly Smith will be hosting free wine tasting sessions.
The show provides fun for the whole family, as while parents go round the stalls and talk, younger visitors will be kept well occupied in the “Kids Zone”. Hosted by the Family Holiday Association, families can enjoy a fun-filled day and try their hands at Giant Jenga, Giant draughts and Deck Quoits plus have their faces painted to become their favourite character.
Several holidays worth up to £10,000 each are on offer every day. Prizes include:
•a seven night Star Clippers Caribbean or Mediterranean Cruise with Best At Travel;
•a three night holiday to Dubai including return flights with Emirates Airline and hotel stay at the 5* Hotel Atlantis The Palm with Dubai Tourism;
•and a 12 night Norwegian Coastal Odyssey cruise taking in the Norwegian fjords with Noble Caledonia, worth £9,990.
The show follows the success of the inaugural Telegraph Cruise Show London in January 2014 which featured more than 50 exhibitors representing every cruise style and the first regional Telegraph Cruise Show in Liverpool in October 2014. The 2014 London show saw 18,500 visitors over three days and both visitor and exhibitor feedback was extremely positive, resulting in the show being shortlisted in the Best Consumer Launch Show category at the AEO Awards (Association of Exhibition Organisers).
Cruise lines at the show include P&O Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Viking Cruises, Silversea as well as small ship and river cruise lines including Noble Caledonia, APT Luxury River Cruises, American Queen Steamboat Company and English Holiday Cruises. The show has also expanded to introduce a number of destinations including Dubai Tourism, All Iceland, Real Africa and Cuba Tourist Office.
