TOWER HAMLETS COUNCILLORS: what are they like? The hot topic in the Borough is the decision of Executive Mayor John Biggs to impose new contracts (“Tower Rewards”) on the Council workforce.  Do Labour Councillors back him or not? Ten councillors have signed an open letter asking him to think again.  Thirty-one have not.  It’s time we got to know our councillors a bit better, so this month we’ll be sharing some quotes from Labour’s public representatives.

Cllr Edgar’s Twitter account is not recorded on the Council website, but it does exist. It is mostly occasional re-tweets, but the above personal opinion has crept in.

•After years in the Cabinet, Cllr Edgar has now been cast aside by Executive Mayor John Biggs, so there should be little in the way of him signing the open letter asking the Executive Mayor to reconsider his approach to Tower Rewards.  If you would like to encourage him to do so, contact him at:
