FORTUNATELY, it’s not the US President himself who will be visiting the Royal Borough. Over 1.8 million people signed a petition against Donald Trump being invited to visit the UK – enough to force a debate in Parliament but not enough to lure Trump to the meridian line.
Trump will be appearing at Greenwich Theatre in the form of Trumpageddon – a one night revival, on 3rd February, of a satire written and first performed in 2016, when Trump was only a candidate. “This absurdist satire is as demented, hysterical and disturbed as the man himself,” proclaims the theatre.
Trumpageddon takes the form of an intimate political rally – at which the audience can fire questions while Trump invites them to help him decide who to fire and who to fire on during his presidency. Who will he invade first? And other pressing questions. Political debate meets hilarious satire.
•Trumpageddon is available for one night only – 7.30pm on 3rd February – at a cost of £16 (£13.50 concessions), both prices including the £1 booking fee. There’s currently a good range of seats available, but they may sell out fast so early booking is advised.
