London Tigers came to this game, firing out of the blocks early with 2 goals within the first 10min, thanks to Raja Miah and Jamal Miah.
Tigers had a swagger about their style of football, with lovely short passes around the field and by keeping the ball comfortably from the start. If it hadn’t been for the Asianos goalkeeper and his amazing point blank saves, the game would have easily been decided in the first half. The keeper gave his team some hope. But it wasn’t too long to go and with ten minutes remaining in the first half, Tigers conceded a goal from a defensive error at the back. It seemed Asianos were back in to the game but the Tigers hit back with 2 further goals as a result of wonderful silky play down the wing.
In the second half Asianos grabbed a goal back but it was too late. London Tigers grabbed full control of the match and scored some wonderful goals to finish the match 7-2, with Jamal Miah to credit for 5 of these goals.
The final goal was a long range screamer unleashed by George Pericleous to end the game in a spectacular fashion. “Every game is a cup final for us at the moment,” said manager Helal Mohammed. “The players are giving 100% on the pitch, the team spirit is high. We need to continue this form to our next game.”
