Up at The O2 celebrates fifth birthday

HALF A MILLION people have already experienced Up at The O2 – a 90-minute climbing expedition to the peak of London’s O2 music and entertainment venue. Past climbers have included Ant & Dec, Rudimental, Sam Smith, Pixie Lott, 30 Seconds to Mars – and our very own Emdad Rahman.

To mark its fifth birthday this summer, the fifth member of any group of five family members or friends taking the climb will go free. There will also be a special event on 21st June: after completing the climb, visitors will be treated to a glass of champagne (or soft drink) and a cupcake, as a birthday treat.

Up at The O2-5Those enjoying the climbing challenge will journey across one of London’s most iconic landmarks, with an experienced guide on hand to talk them through every step of the 350 metre walkway. Climbers can enjoy a sense of achievement when they reach the summit, which sits 52m high. The climb is now open to urban mountaineers aged nine and over (the previous minimum age was ten).

Visitors can marvel at the 360° views by booking a climb during the day, at sunset or at twilight – which offers a mesmerising opportunity to see the city lit up by thousands of twinkling lights.

For an unforgettable day out this summer, book a climb Up at The O2. Prices start from £30 for adults and children (over nine years). To avoid disappointment, advance bookings are suggested.
