BOHORGRAM JONOMONGAL SHOMITHY, one of Sylhet’s oldest Welfare Associations, has celebrated its 52-year anniversary.
The programme was hosted by Treasurer Koyes Ahmed Ruhal in the presence of Baroness Pola Uddin and President Jobrul Islam.
Guest speaker Baroness Uddin commented, “Wherever we are you should all be very proud of your contribution towards making Bangladesh what it is today. I’m heartened by your commitment to Bangladesh and also hope you will also be committed to your home in Tower Hamlets.”
President Jobrul Islam added, “There are many organisations of this stature and I’m really proud and honoured at what we achieved which has been made possible through dedication and hard work. We will continue to make sure we work towards living in a fairer, safe and thriving society.”
