BRITISH CYCLISTS have come home from the European Track Championships with a creditable nine medals. The contest was held in the Netherlands over the weekend.
The women shone in the Madison race, with Laura Kenny (pictured) and Katie Archibald winning silver. For the men, it was the team pursuit events that brought in the medals – with Ollie Wood collecting two bronze medals.
Emily Nelson had been the first Brit to pick up a medal, winning the gold in the women’s scratch event. This was her first European title.
