CLEAN AIR DAY is coming up on Thursday, 20th June – and Tower Hamlets Wheelers will be marking the day with an Afterworker ride through some of the East End’s greener spaces. As it’s also the second longest day of the year, it’s should be an evening to enjoy.
The Wheelers explain: “Afterwork Rides are an easy paced, stress busting ride for all skill levels exploring the green spaces of the borough and our neighbouring boroughs on traffic-free paths in mixed, pleasant company.”
The Afterwork ride is suitable for all abilities and there will be stops on the way to share stories about various quirky features along the ride.
•Cyclists are asked to meet under The Green Bridge, Mile End Road (opposite the Costa Coffee shop), at 6.30pm sharp on 20th June. The ride is expected to end at around 9.30pm at a local pub. Cyclists are reminded to bring lights and locks. For more information, telephone Mr Jones on 07944-177 343.
•Enthusiasts are also welcome to attend the next monthly meeting of the Tower Hamlets Wheelers at 7.30pm on 10th July in The Cabin, St Margaret’s House, Old Ford Road, London E2 9PL.
