Lyndon was assaulted late in the evening of 14th March. The first reports to reach police were that there had been an assault in Padnall Road, RM6 – but Lyndon was found in nearby Nash Road, suffering stab wounds. He was quickly taken to hospital but sadly died from the stab wounds in the early hours of the following morning.
Police returned to the Nash Road/Padnall Road area on Wednesday, 21st March to try to jog local memories about the incident in the hope of picking up new information.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Lynes from the Homicide and Major Crime Command leads the investigation and said: “We are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area of Nash Road and Padnall Road at about 10.30pm on the night of the murder and who may have witnessed the victim being chased by a group of at least seven people. I would also ask people who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at around that time [to come forward]. If you have any information that could assist this investigation then please contact police – a young man has been tragically killed and we need to get justice for his family.”
