CPS sent file on death of Romford lad

SEVEN MONTHS after young Harvey Tyrrell from Harold Wood died, the police have sent a file on the case to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Harvey was found unresponsive at the King Harold pub in Station Road, Romford, on 11th September last year. The police and London Ambulance Service were called out at around 5.20pm. Seven year old Harvey was taken to an East London Hospital, but he was pronounced dead just over an hour after arriving.

A post mortem established that the cause of death was electrocution..There have been reports that the youngster was electrocuted when he tried to climb over a garden wall to retrieve a football he had been playing with.

The police have interviewed two people under caution in relation to the death. The first was a 70 year old man, interviewed the day after Harvey died, and the second was a 72 year old man, who was interviewed in January. The police inquiry is continuing.
