NEARLY ONE YEAR ago, someone tried to murder a 28 year old man in Dagenham. As the anniversary of the event approaches, the Metropolitan Police East Area Command Unit have issued a renewed appeal for public help in finding Wade Clauzel, 26.
It was just past 3pm on 23rd August 2017 that police received reports that someone had been stabbed at the junction of Church Elm Lane and Siviter Way, Dagenham. The victim was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an East London hospital, where his condition was described as serious.
Police inquiries established that Wade Clauzel was a suspect – and they have been looking for him ever since. They believe he has links with many parts of London – and may even have left London itself and be hiding out somewhere in south or south-east England.
Detective Constable Dean Meekcoms, who is leading the investigation, said, “Wade Clauzel armed himself on the day of the attack with the intention of causing serious harm to his victim. Soon after, we believe he fled London and now we need the public’s help to find him.
“Clauzel uses several different aliases and we believe he’s somewhere in the south or south-east. He’s extremely dangerous, so if you know where he is do not approach, but call 999 instead. He’s around 5ft 11in and of heavy build.”
•Anyone who has seen Clauzel or knows where he may be is asked to call police on 999. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
