A BLACK BMW X6 collided with a minicab in Wick Lane, Homerton at approximately 5.20am today, Sunday, 30th June and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The occupants of the BMW rang away. The three passengers in the minicab were taken to East London hospitals with injuries that are not life-threatening. The driver of the minicab sustained a serious head injury. He is also in an East London hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
Detective Sergeant Jose Qureshi of the Metropolitan Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “I appeal to the driver of the BMW to present himself at a police station at the earliest opportunity. There was no consideration given to those injured in the other car, I urge you to do the right thing now and come forward.
“In the meantime, I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dash-cam footage, who witnessed this incident or who can name the suspects. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence, and if necessary, can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers.”
