EL Mosque seeks Senior Imam

THE EAST LONDON MOSQUE is seeking to appoint a Senior Imam.

The Mosque describes itself as surrounded by a community which has high expectations for Islamic guidance and leadership. It sees itself as working closely with UK and overseas Muslim organisations and institutions to respond to the needs of the Muslim community.

The Senior Imam will be someone who is a dynamic and credible Islamic scholar, with leadership and entrepreneurial social skills. The Imam will have a deep understanding of Islam acquired through postgraduate study, as well as a strong command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

The closing date for applications is 1st June.
