Situated in Brentwood, Essex, Old Macdonald’s Farm is a welcome destination for families looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of town life. The farm offers a nice day out at an-Essex based petting farm which has received recognition and awards. Indoor and outdoor activities cater for younger and older visitors and for all weathers, whatever the season.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of activities. There are fun rides and slides and there is also a handy ball pond and soft play area full of happy bubbly faces. Visitors can enjoy a nice walk and a picnic – or go to the cafe which serves hot and cold food and drinks too.
The visit will not break the bank and provides a value for money experience. There were plenty of families, including ours, all having a very good time. We were all done within a short space of time and there was scope to plan another activity and get home to relax long before the rush hour traffic got going.
Schools can also visit the farm, which provides a practical, knowledge filled option for teachers and pupils. Teachers can plan a free visit and there are plenty of fun facts to share, an activity trail and educational downloads provided.
Shaun the Sheep is making personal appearances at intervals on 9th May 2015. Seeing Shaun the Sheep is free of charge and included in the standard admission price. General admission discounts will be available online.
