Happy Diwali – with Desi mix of Nakhre

IT’S COLD and wet outside and there’s a Lockdown throughout the UK. Just as you were thinking that this is no way to celebrate Diwali (the festival of light, not the festival of gloom), along comes the Desi remix of Nakhre to cheer you up.

The original Nakhre came out on 30th September – a comeback collaboration between Jay Sean and Rishi Rich which was welcomed around the globe. “Nakhre” can be translated into English as “attitude” – a message which went down well with millions who tuned in and found their feet tapping.

The remix comes from East-meets-West specialists Break The Noise Records, off the turntables of East London’s own DJ Vix – the man with the unique talent for creating party anthems and dance floor grooves with the Bhangra flavour. Those with a keen ear will pick up the introduction of the iconic flute from Tere Chehre Pe, from the movie Baazigar in his remix.

It’s just the thing to brighten up a locked down wet weekend. Until we can get back into the Clubs, it’s bop-in-your-bedroom time – and this is just the ticket.
