An international aid charity has opened the doors to its new office in London’s East End. There was a small celebration as the Human Relief Foundation launched a new site in Whitechapel from where the charity’s southern-based aid efforts will be co-ordinated.
In attendance at the event were Shaikh Abdur Rahman Madani; Tower Hamlets Mayor John Biggs; Brent Mayor Parvez Ahmed; TV One Director Rizwan Hussain; HRF President and CEO Nabeel Siddiq al-Ramadhani; Deputy CEO Kassim Tokan; Mehdi Chowdhury; and Community Fundraising Officer Khoyrul Shaheed, among others.
Mr Ramadhani said: “Human Relief Foundation is dedicated to ease human suffering. We will continue to steadfastly work with the weak and needy and we will empower them with our love and affection. I have great faith in this team and the brilliant work they do.”
John Biggs added: “I’m privileged to be Mayor of one of the largest Muslim communities in Europe and I know what great contributions they make. I wish everyone continued success. Remember, unity is our strength.”
Mayor Parvez was pleased with the progress the charity is making: “The impact HRF are making is nothing short of brilliant. In fact such is their interaction with the wider community I can foresee the team needing to relocate and expand to a bigger office.”
Launched in 1991, HRF seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and developmental programmes, supporting them to build a better life and find their own solutions to global problems.
