Ilford stabbing: Newham man charged

A MAN HAS BEEN charged with the murder of a woman in Ilford on 3rd January. The 44 year old woman was found in Norfolk Road, Ilford, that evening – suffering from serious stab wounds. She died at the scene.

The suspect has been named as Genu Armeanu, 45, of Coleridge Avenue, East Ham, E12. He was arrested on 3rd January and charged on 4th January. He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on 5th January and was remanded in custody until 8th January, when he will appear at the Old Bailey.
