A TEENAGER needed hospital treatment after being slashed by a mystery man with a Stanley knife. Now police have released an image of a man they would like to identify and interview in connection with the incident.
The incident occurred at approximately 3pm on Saturday, 25th January in a bakery in Market Square, E14. The victim was in the bakery when a man whom he did not know came up to him and began talking to him. The stranger then slashed at the teenager’s arm with a Stanley knife, before running away.
Detective Constable Luke Martinez, the investigating officer, said: “This was a shocking attack in the middle of the day in a busy area. I would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured or has any information of his whereabouts.”
