Kids get stuck in to Urban Wheelers Jam!

BMX bikers and skateboarding enthusiasts put on a fantastic display of stunts, flips and air tricks at the Urban Wheelers Jam in Victoria Park on 6th April during a fun day which attracted over 200 residents.

The event, held during the Easter break, was organised by Tower Hamlets Council to encourage more young people to get active by taking part in an activity which is not only healthy but is also great fun.

Victoria Park boasts only the second full cradle in the UK, which attracts wheelers from far and wide, so the fun day event saw local youngsters able to enjoy a fantastic resource. Free activities on the day included professional skateboarding lessons, Rolapoloza, smoothie bikes, an urban climbing wall, street dance workshop and a live graffiti wall.

Mum of two Hayley Newman said: “We love all the different events that happen in Victoria Park and this one was really interactive for my two boys. They’re already looking forward to seeing what exciting things Vicky has in store for the summer.”
