A BRAND of kombucha has been recalled because the bottle caps have started to pop off spontaneously. It sounds like AI is taking over – but the problem has actually occurred because of over-fermentation.
The recalled product is One Living Organic Raspberry & Pomegranate Kombucha. It comes in 330ml bottles with a best before date of 14th December 2026.
If you have this product at home, you are advised not to open it. Do not take the product back to the store where you bought it. Take the bottle to an outside bin and dispose of it. Handle it as little as possible when doing this, as if the top does come off you could be injured.
Contact One Living on hello@oneliving.come for a refund. Unfortunately, because you will need to dispose of the product, you will need to supply One Living with proof of purchase to obtain a refund. If you do not have a till receipt (and why would you keep your till receipt?), take a picture of the product (without moving it from its current location) before you dispose of it.
