The East London Mosque will be holding its 5k community fun run in Victoria Park on Sunday, 17th September.
The main objectives of the run are to promote healthier lifestyles in the community and also to help Muslim charities raise funds for good causes. Alongside these main objectives, the run will help participants to keep fit and should be a good day out for all involved.
The organisers are calling on approved Muslim charities and other mosques to enter teams in the Run. Participation will not only help them collect their own funds from their nearest and dearest, but it will also allow them to explain their work to the wider public at the event itself. Charities must pay a registration fee of £20 per person for a minimum of 20 places, which will fund the organisation of the event. Individual runners should be able to recover this sum with ease.
•The run itself is open to men and boys of all ages and of any faith or none. Everyone is welcome to come to the park and cheer the runners on. For more information and to book, go to:
