A POLICE investigation is underway after two people were found dead in Dagenham, last Saturday, 9th August. Police believe that the two people knew each other and no one else is being sought in connection with the deaths.
Police were called out just before 1pm by a report that a person had been found unresponsive in Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham. Police and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 30 year old woman, who sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two hours later the police were called out again: this time to Gosfield Road in Dagenham and by a report that a man had been found unresponsive. The police and London Ambulance Service went out and found a 36 year old man, who sadly had to be declared dead at the scene.
The two people have been named as Essther Egbon and Igle Erabor. Post mortems have been held and have established the cause of death as an incised wound to the neck. Their families are being supported by specialist police officers.
Police are conducting an investigation to try to establish the circumstances of the deaths.
