BETHNAL GREEN Road was the scene of a hit and run collision on 20th April – and police have been unable to find the driver, who did not stop at the scene of the accident.
The incident took place just after 11pm on Friday, 20th April on Bethnal Green Road, near Shoreditch High Street, E1. A vehicle believed to be a black Mercedes E Class collided with a 23 year old woman pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an East London hospital, where she received treatment for her injuries. She has since been discharged.
The incident is being investigated by officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command. They believe that there were one or more passengers in the Mercedes and that the driver appeared to be familiar with the area. They are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
