People power goes Underground

IT SEEMS THAT one disgruntled Tube traveller has taken matters into their own hands and balanced out a train advertisement.

The original advertisement was for The Telegraph, and offered a free trial of the newspaper for 30 days. It pointed out that the newspaper “team” has “correctly predicted every UK General Election and referendum result this decade.” (This is not the most taxing of achievements, but never mind – well done them.)

Clearly this hasn’t gone down well with one punter, who has written a poem on the advert, giving a bit of political balance:
“We do lies, we do smears,
“Haven’t paid taxes on the Ritz in 20 years.
“We are the Barclay Brothers,
“We deny you a voice,
“But you have a choice
“VOTE Labour.
“Signed R. Murdoch.

When the Underground said it was keen to see more poems on the Tube, it probably didn’t have this kind of instant access in mind!
