POLICE DID their best to stop a car which was being driven at an extremely dangerous high speed along the A13 Newham Way on 18th June. A black Audi S1 hurtled through roads with a 30mph speed limit at speeds of up to 100mph and went through red traffic lights.
The driving posed such a serious risk to other road users and pedestrians that police were authorised to start a pursuit, which began in Canning Town. However, the pursuit ended in the vicinity of Dock Road, E6 as police feared that continuing it would prolong the dangerous driving and put too many people at risk. The car was later found abandoned in Renfrew Close, E6.
Now police have announced that they wish to locate and speak to Skye Anderson-King, 30, in connection with this incident. They have appealed to the public for help in finding him.
Detective Superintendent Andy Cox, of the Roads and Transport Policing Command, explained, “We urgently wish to speak with Skye Anderson-King in relation to an incident in which a driver of a Black Audi S1 failed to stop for police. The vehicle reached speeds of 100mph in a 30mph zone at a time when pedestrians and cyclists were present. Such driving puts the public at considerable risk and incidents like this are taken very seriously.”
●Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Anderson-King is asked to contact the police via 101 and quote reference CAD 7079/18JUN20. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111 and give information anonymously.
