Police seek man in indecent exposure investigation

POLICE ARE investigating two separate incidents of indecent exposure which took place on a bus in the Stratford area. Now a CCTV image of a male bus passenger has been released, and police have asked the public to help identify him.

Both incidents took place on the 104 bus. The first incident took place on 9th November, just after 1pm. The second incident took place on 7th January, in the evening, on a bus going between Stratford and Lonsdale Avenue. The incidents are being investigated by officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command (RTPC).

DC Joanne O’Connor of the RTPC said, “This was a very distressing incident for someone to witness on public transport and this sort of behaviour is outright unacceptable. If you think you know who the man could be, we would like to hear from you.”

The public is reminded that the police take any sexually motivated offences which occur on the public transport network very seriously. Passengers are asked to report any incidents to the police via 101 or, in an emergency, to ring 999.

Anyone who believes they recognise the man in the CCTV picture is asked to contact DC O’Connor on 07500-607 652 or via 101 and quote reference CAD 6774/17JAN20.
