TEAM MC MEMBERS from Stepney undertook the challenge of scaling the three UK mountain peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours for a great charitable cause.
The team only decided to do the climb one month ago, and arrangements were made quickly to allow the team to train and prepare for the extreme challenge.
The challenge started last Saturday at Fort William and ended – with one hour to spare – at Snowdon, 23 hours later, with every member of the team completing their three treks.
Team member Sam Islam commented, “The last 24 hours will be among the most memorable and excruciating hours of my life, but we have made an amazing impact through our activities and also the much needed funds we have raised, which will provide shelter for the Rohingya people. I’m really proud of our efforts.”
Rashid Ali from Team MC added, “The boys were determined and they persevered and persevered. Congratulations on a terrific achievement – your efforts will support some of the most marginalised people on earth.”
