THE THAMES VIEW Muslim Association opened its doors to the community for an Iftar event where the guests could share food which marked an end to the day of fasting in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The event was well attended and was an opportunity to listen to a talk about Ramadan and how to use the discipline gained in this month to benefit the community in the long term.
Also in attendance were Barking & Dagenham Councillors Cameron Geddes and Bill Turner. After Magrib prayers, attendees enjoyed a hearty meal which was shared with friends, family and neighbours.
Association Chair Ali Subhan said, “We are delighted with the turnout and are proud to play a big part in our community. Thank you to everyone who attended.”
