The (not so) Secret Garden

Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park and volunteers are ready to bring to life an inspirational greening project on a wall in the Leopold Estate! Building work begins on Thursday, 26th March – and the Friends are appealing for helpers to join them from 11am-3.30pm. Volunteers are asked to wear outdoor clothes which they don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy boots and to bring a packed lunch. Volunteers should meet at The Soanes Centre, Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, Southern Grove, E3 4PX.

242154f4-f851-47b2-bf21-b17af7b680b5Forest School is planning to run six three-hour forest school sessions during the Easter break, during which children will have a wide range of experiences and adventures such as bush craft skills, whittling, fire lighting and cooking on fires, bug hunts and bird watching.  There is also a large range of activities that connect children to their environment through arts and crafts, games and science based investigating activities. Sessions are run by a qualified practitioner (level 3 or above) who is experienced in working with children in an outdoor environment.
Sessions are open to children aged 5 to 14. They run from 1 to 3pm and there is a charge of £100 per child for the set of six sessions. Places must be booked in advance on:
