POLICE ARE asking for anyone who witnessed a serious assault in Hainault which took place just before midnight on Thursday, 23rd April in Fowler Road, Hainault.
Police attended and found a man who had been left seriously injured after being assaulted. He appeared to be in his 20s. He was taken to hospital, where he was deemed to be in a critical condition and admitted for treatment.
Police have arrested two men, aged 46 and 24, on suspicion of committing Grievous Bodily Harm. Police have now appealed to the public for information about the assault to help them conclude their investigation.
Detective Sergeant John Sinclair, who is leading the investigation, said: “A man is currently in hospital with very serious injuries and my team and I are working to piece together exactly what happened. Our investigation is still in its early stages and we have already made two arrests but we need more information from the public. I would ask anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual around the time of this incident to please get in touch.”
