A CAR WAS IN collision with a woman pedestrian on 7th May in Chingford – with fatal results. The London Ambulance Service took the pedestrian to hospital, but she died the following day.
The emergency services were alerted at approximately 3am to the fact that a collision had occurred in Station Road, E4. Police and paramedics attended. At the scene they found the critically injured woman in her 30s – and the 23 year old driver of a Ford Focus which had run into her.
The pedestrian’s next of kin have been informed. The driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is not being held in custody.
