THE MAN arrested in the case of the murder of a 53 year old man in Upper Clapton Road in Hackney on 4th April has been interviewed by police – and released on bail until later this month.
The murder victim was found outside a bookies on Upper Clapton Road, E5 at around 4.30pm last Wednesday. It is thought that he had been involved in some sort of fight. He was already unconscious – and despite the best efforts of the emergency services, sadly he died at the scene. The man’s next of kin have been informed and the results of a post mortem are awaited.
The Metropolitan Police are being assisted in this case by the City of London Police, because of the large workload created by the recent series of murders and other violent crime.
