East London holds Day of Action for Palestine

THE Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) is holding a National Day of Action for Palestine on Saturday, 28th November – and the East London PSC will be doing its bit to raise awareness of the Palestinian people.

The actions being taken in East London will be discussed tonight, 24th November, on 20:20 Vision on the Vodtalk channel. The regular programme is hosted by ELN editor Jenny Fisher, who will be joined by the East London PSC’s Sybil Cock.

On Saturday, local campaigners will join in the national action by holding a (socially distanced) protest in Whitechapel (11am-12 noon) and one just outside Stratford shopping centre (the traditional one) from 1pm to 2pm.  If you cannot get out to join the protests in person, you are encouraged to write a solidarity message on your social media and use the hashtags #Stop Annexation #EndApartheid #SanctionsNow. You can also take a Palestinian flag out with you on your daily exercise walk or bike ride.

The East London PSC is also encouraging locals to back a lobby of Parliament which the national campaign is holding from 10am to 5pm on 2nd December. It will be a virtual lobby, and you can use the link below to ask your MP to meet you over Zoom.
