Hackney cyclist fights for life after mystery collision

AN EARLY HOURS collision has left a cyclist in an East London hospital – with life-threatening facial and neck injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

The incident occurred at approximately twenty minutes past midnight yesterday, Saturday, 20th July, in Kingsland Road, Hackney.

The cyclist, a 21 year old man, appears to have collided with an empty parked car. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit has begun and investigation and are appealing for help from any witnesses to help them establish what happened.
