POLICE ARE asking the public to come forward with any information about a man who robbed a mother of her handbag in a New Year’s Day attack.
The woman was pushing her child in a pram along Darenth Road, N15 at approximately half past three on Sunday, 1st January when the incident occurred. The police came to the scene. The victim was described as being shocked by the ordeal but she did not require medical treatment. Her child was, fortunately, unharmed.
The police describe the suspect as a light skinned black male, aged 25 to 30, 5ft 9ins tall. He was of slim build with short cropped black hair and was wearing a blue trench coat and blue jeans.
There is concern that this attacker should be found quickly, before he goes on to rob or attack any more women.
