Under the Executive Mayor system, councillors have little formal power in the Council. The Executive Mayor takes almost all the decisions. However, councillors are able to lobby the Mayor, and the Executive Mayor is more likely to listen to them – in between elections – than to any other group. You can contact the councillors for your own ward, or every councillor in the Cabinet – or the whole lot of them. As Tower Hamlets has a Labour Mayor, we provide below a list of Labour Councillors and their contact details – in case you feel you would like to ask any councillors to lobby the Executive Mayor.
