TWO FORMER GYMS in the London Muslim Centre and Maryam Centre are being offered up for rent. The Centres hope that they can be let out to organisations which have aims which complement those of the Centres.
The first space has been used as a gym for men. It is in the London Muslim Centre basement and has its own entrance on Fieldgate Street. There is also access to a service yard for deliveries. The space is 5,360 sq. ft and it will be made available on a ten year lease. The London Muslim Centre has set the rent at £85,760, although that sum could be negotiable.
The second space is the former gym for women on the sixth floor of the Maryam Centre. The entrance to the space is on Fieldgate Street and the space is served by a lift. The Maryam Centre would ideally like the space to be taken over by an organisation which can continue to run a women’s gym there. The space is 3,982 sq. ft and it is also being offered on a ten year lease. The rent has been set at £63,710, but may be negotiable.
The Centres are encouraging charities, third sector organisations or social enterprises which work for the benefit of the local community to consider taking on the spaces. Anyone interested in renting the space is asked to register their interest in writing by Friday, 26th March.
●Expressions of interest should be sent to the two addresses below. Requests for further information can be sent to them too, or can be discussed on the phone numbers provided:
