Man charged with sexual assaults and robbery

A POLICE investigation has ended with one man being charged with committing a series of sexual assaults in Newham and Waltham Forest over the last month.

The man charged is Abdallah Baballah, 23, of no fixed above. On 27th July, he was charged with the following:
•one count of rape that occurred on 1st July in the Plaistow South area in Newham;
•one count of attempted rape near Leyton Underground on 6th July;
•one count of rape on 6th July at Amethyst Road, Waltham Forest;
•one count of attempted rape on 11th July in the Central Park Road area of East Ham.

In addition, Baballah was charged with four counts of robbery in relation to the four incidents of alleged assault. He will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 29th July.
