POLICE ARE appealing for help from the public as they investigate the murder of a man in Plashet Park on 15th October. He was found suffering from a stab wound to the chest by emergency services.
The victim has now been named as Moosakhan Nasiri and a post mortem has confirmed that the cause of death was a stab wound to the heart. Mr Nasiri’s next of kin have been informed of his death.
The Metropolitan Police Homicide and Major Crime Command are in charge of the murder investigation. They are concentrating on encouraging the public to come forward with information. They returned to Plashet Park a week after the murder to try to jog memories. A 16 year old male was arrested the day after the killing and he was charged with murder the following day.
DCI Jamie Piscopo, who is leading the investigation, said, “We have now charged one person in relation to this murder but there are still outstanding suspects and other lines of enquiry we are pursuing. This was a violent attack on a young man which happened in the middle of the afternoon in a busy park, and I would ask anyone who saw the incident to come forward and speak to us.”
