CONGRATULATIONS are due to Ms Farhana Ahmed, a young British woman of Bangladeshi origin, who has made an made an outstanding achievement in her studies in the UK.
Farhana obtained a First Class Law Degree (LLB Hons) from the world renowned City Law School, University of London – with an overall average mark of 76.3%. In some subjects, Farhana’s high marks broke past records for her Law Department.
Farhana was awarded 81.5% in Family Law, 81.5% in Company Law, 82% in Comparative Constitutional Law, 82.5% in Criminal Law, 83% in the Professional Qualification Module, 85% in Immigration Law and 88% in Advanced Criminal Law.
Born and brought up in London, and always a high achiever academically, Farhana is going to start her Bar-at-Law Course in September. She aspires to become a High Court Judge one day.
Farhana’s older sister, Tasnia Ahmed, graduated with an Upper Second Class LLB Hons last week from the University of Westminster.
Reacting to her brilliant result, Farhana said, “I am extremely happy with my results. I am thankful to my Almighty God. I am grateful to my fantastic parents and teachers. Without their guidance, mentoring and support I wouldn’t be able to achieve what I did.”
She further said “I know many students from my community who, if mentored and nurtured properly, can achieve brilliant results. I am committed to play a key role in establishing the rule of law and making my community enlightened.”
Farhana is the second child of lawyer and former Deputy Speaker of the London Borough of Newham Cllr Barrister Nazir Ahmed and poet Salma Ahmed. The parents of Farhana Ahmed are from Bahara Dubag under Biswanath Upazila of Sylhet District. Farhana seeks your blessing.
