Police attend stabbing in Plaistow

POLICE WERE called out at around 2pm this afternoon, Tuesday, 2nd July, to reports that a man had ben stabbed in the area of Willow Grove, Plaistow, E13 – near Plaistow Tube station.

The police, London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance attended. A man, believed to be in his 20s, was found. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. There is no official news yet about his condition, but it is thought not to be life threatening.

The stabbing took place in Lettsom Walk, an alleyway off Libra Road. The area was cordoned off after the victim had been taken to hospital.

Eye witnesses have suggested that the stabbing occurred during a fight, but there were no confirmed reports of how many people were involved in the fight.

Anyone who was in the area, saw the stabbing or has any other information which may help the police is asked to contact the police via 101 and quote reference 4504/JUL02.
