Three men charged with murder after Leyton stabbing

THE MAN stabbed to death in Leyton on 23rd April has now been named as Suhayb Abdulkadir, aged just 24. The emergency services were called to the scene, but sadly could not save him.

Now a total of three men have been charged with murder in connection with the incident.

Abdullahi Abdi, 24, of Lincoln Street, Leytonstone, and Hanet Ahmed, 25, were arrested near the scene of the stabbing. They were both charged with murder on 26th April. They were both remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on 15th July.

Faruq Ismail, 25, of Eclipse Road, Plaistow, was arrested on 11th May and charged with murder. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 12th May.

Two other men were arrested near the scene of the stabbing. One man, aged 24, has been released on bail, and another, aged 22, has been released under investigation.

Suhayb’s family have issued a statement in tribute to the murdered man.  They said, “Suhayb lit up every room he entered and put a smile on the faces of even those who did not know him. He was an amazing uncle to his niece, honourable brother to his siblings and dutiful son to his mother.

“Although his death has been devastating, it has been heart-warming to hear the many stories from people from all walks of life sharing the massive impact he has had on them. His presence, warmth and kindness will never be forgotten and he has lefn everlasting impact on all of those who were fortunate to know him. We love you immensely, Suhayb, more than you know, and we cannot wait for you to be reunited with your brother.”
