Two injured in shooting in Barking

IT WAS just after 2pm on 4th June when the emergency services received reports that gunshots had been heard in Wilmington Gardens, Barking. Police, the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance attended.

They found two injured men. One, aged 24, was in a critical condition from gunshot injuries and was taken to hospital. The other man, who did not have a gunshot wound, was not in such a serious condition but was still taken to hospital for medical treatment.

On 9th June, police arrested a 26 year old man at an address in West Ealing on suspcion of attempted murder.

On 15th June, police charged Rushelle McLaughlin, 26, with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The man who sustained gunshot wounds remains in hospital, in a critical condition.
