Urgent: accomplice sought after Ilford assault

POLICE NEED help finding a second man who was involved in an unprovoked attack in Ilford last November. A suspect will be on trial next week – and police are still looking for his accomplice.

The assault occurred just after 10pm on Saturday, 4th November outside the General Havelock pub on High Road, Ilford. The victim, a 53 year old man, was punched and kicked in the face – rendering him unconscious. He will need to have corrective surgery in the future.

Police arrested a male suspect aged 52 on 29th January. He was charged with Actual Bodily Harm on 28th February in connection with this assault. He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on 29th March, where he entered a plea of not guilty. He is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court next Wednesday – 25th April.

The second suspect is described as a white male, aged between 25 and 35. He ws wearing a grey top with dark coloured jeans and black trainers.
