Whitechapel murder: man charged, victim named

A MAN HAS now been charged with the murder of a woman in Crowder Street, E1, last Friday (26th April). He has been named as Roderick Deakin-White, 37, of Crowder Street, E1.

Deakin-White was arrested shortly after the murdered woman was found. He was charged today – Sunday, 28th April – and will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 29th April.

The murdered woman has been named as Amy Parsons, 35, of Crowder Street, E1. Her family have been informed of her death and formal identification is awaited. It is expected that a post mortem will be carried out within the next few days.

Police that the alleged murderer and his victim knew each other. At the moment, the police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
