Met calls for witnesses to Ilford stabbing

A MAN WAS found outside the police station in High Street, Ilford, just after 4am on Sunday, 3rd June. He had been stabbed.

The victim, 29, was taken to an East London hospital. He received treatment for his injuries and fortunately they were not life-threatening.

Police have been investigating what happened. So far they have established that the victim was walking along Richmond Road, near the junction with Grange Road, Ilford, when he was stabbed. He managed to get to the police station where he was found, which was just a short distance away, despite his injuries.

Anyone who saw the stabbing or has any other information about it is asked to contact the East Area Command Unit via 101. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
